From a long-standing focus on adapting true-life stories by incomparable authors, to platforming new voices in film and television, Oil & Cattle is a production company devoted, above all, to empowering storytellers. To date, Oil & Cattle has optioned over a dozen properties and partnered with a wide range of companies, including Octavia Butler’s Dawn with Amazon Studios, Macro, and Ava DuVernay, Patrick Radden Keefe’s The New Yorker article “The Trafficker,” and David Kushner’s Rolling Stone article “The Rise and Fall of a Bitcoin Kingpin” with Jon Chu’s Electric Somewhere Co. Additionally, in partnership with Black Label Media, Oil & Cattle is producing Carson County, a limited series adaptation of the hit Campside Media podcast “Witnessed: Friendly Fire,” and Drug Spies, an ongoing drama series alongside Sister for FX.
