Thomas Carter is a literary manager, producer, and industry tastemaker known for discovering and nurturing bold new voices across film and television. With a career spanning nearly two decades, Carter has established himself as a champion of original storytelling—founding the boutique literary management company Artillery Creative Collective (ACC) and co-founding Oil & Cattle.
Carter began his career in 2006 as a co-founder of Station3, a talent management and production company that quickly became a respected force in the industry. The company represented leading talent on Broadway shows and more than 20 series regulars across primetime and premium television. His first feature as producer, Gardens of the Night, opened the 2008 Berlin International Film Festival in main competition alongside Martin Scorsese’s Shine a Light and Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood.
In 2009, Carter launched Artillery Creative Collective, focusing on developing and managing both emerging and established screenwriters and filmmakers. ACC’s clients are behind major projects for HBO, Amazon, FX, Netflix, Starz, Peacock, Hulu, FOX, ABC, Universal Television, and Warner Bros. Television. The company’s mission is clear: to build a more inclusive storytelling landscape that reflects the complexity and richness of the global community.
With a sharp instinct for cultural relevance and commercial potential, Carter and his companies are currently developing a premium slate of film and television projects with Amazon, HBO, Netflix, FX, NBC, and Universal Television.
ADAM HOFF
Co-Founder, Oil & Cattle / Co-Founder, Campside Media / Writer & Producer
Adam Hoff is a screenwriter, producer, and creative entrepreneur at the forefront of film, television, and audio storytelling. He is a co-founder of Oil & Cattle, along with Campside Media, the award-winning podcast studio known for deeply reported narrative series.
As a screenwriter, Adam broke through with his original drama The Edge which he developed at Universal Cable Productions for USA Network with John Legend and Get Lifted Film Co. producing. Shortly thereafter, he was tapped to adapt Mario Puzo’s final novel Omertà for TWC, with Antoine Fuqua attached to direct and Sylvester Stallone set to star—first as a series, and later as a feature film. His portfolio includes adaptations of high-profile works such as The Trafficker (from Patrick Radden Keefe’s New Yorker article), and an original premium series ABC Signature. Most recently, Adam completed an original feature for Sony Pictures and Steph Curry’s Unanimous Media, and is currently writing a soon-to-be announced high-profile biopic about a major sports figure.
As a producer, Adam brings a distinct mix of creative instincts and business acumen to Oil & Cattle, where on any given day he’s known to deliver crucial, project-elevating creative notes, when he’s not drawing up contracts and negotiating deal points.
In 2020, Adam co-founded Campside Media with acclaimed journalists Josh Dean, Vanessa Grigoriadis, and Matt Shaer. The studio has become a force in podcasting, known for addictive storytelling and rigorous reporting. Its breakout franchises Chameleon and Suspect have earned industry acclaim, including Podcast of the Year for Chameleon: Wild Boys from the Podcast Academy. Campside’s shows have been downloaded over 100 million times and named to "Best Of" lists by The New Yorker, The New York Times, and New York Magazine. Recognized as one of Fast Company’s 10 Most Innovative Media Companies in 2023, Campside has over 30 projects in development for film and television, with eight network sales and a growing documentary slate.
Originally from Portland, Oregon (“where the living is easy”), Adam wrote rap lyrics in high school before earning his BA from Pepperdine University and JD from the University of Chicago Law School. He briefly practiced law, including a stint advising hedge funds in the Cayman Islands, before making the ethically sound decision to pursue storytelling in Hollywood. He now lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife and three children.
TEDDY SMITH

Teddy Smith is a writer, producer, and entrepreneur who has built a career at the intersection of storytelling, culture, and technology. Known for launching ventures that blend creative instincts with modern market sensibilities, Smith brings a multi-disciplinary approach to content—driven by a singular mission: to champion original stories and deliver them to audiences in meaningful, lasting ways.
Smith began his career in the world of advertising – specifically, in photography and commercial production – as a production manager on global campaigns for marquee luxury brands like Chanel, Christian Dior, and Vogue. Working with legendary photographers such as Patrick Demarchelier and Peter Lindbergh, along with industry icons like Karl Lagerfeld and Hedi Slimane, he developed a visual storytelling instinct rooted in precision, aesthetic, and cultural timing.
In 2015, Smith launched The Projection List, at the time a widely-used film and television release calendar and development resource for fans, journalists, creatives, and executives. Featured in The Atlantic, the platform quickly became a go-to tool industry tool.
On the producing side, Smith has been instrumental in shaping the overall slate, creative vision, and execution of Oil & Cattle, of which he is a co-founder, positioning the company as capable of both artistic resonance and mass appeal.
A native Texan and graduate of Texas A&M University, Smith lives and works in Los Angeles. He values collaborators who act with clarity, speak with intent, and build fearlessly toward what’s next.
